Weekend

Had a fantastic weekend. Went to see the opening day of bike racing at NHMS. Got a little bit of sun so I'm a tad bit pink but it's ok. All was worth it to spend a great day with my man and a bunch of great riders.
There is no helmet law in New Hampshire, this is a problem for me.  We ride street bikes and we always wear full gear no matter the weather. I'd rather be sweating in gear than crash and die. We saw a few crashes on the track and to think of how they would have gone had the riders not had gear on, it would have been tragic. Two or three went off the track in ambulances. Crashes off the track are way worse. First, there is no medical response waiting and there are no safety barriers to pad your crash, only other vehicles or walls. I like my brain in my head and I like my skin on my body. Broken bones you'll get no matter what but they heal.   I met a girl who burned her leg on the exhaust of a bike, and yet still rides around with sneakers, capri sweats and a wife beater tank top. Unreal!!
